1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and process your personal information when you (“you” or “User”) use our website at outserp.ai (“Site”), our AI-powered SEO content platform, tools, and APIs (“Services”), and the associated software (“Software”). The Site, Services, and Software are jointly referred to as the “Platform”.

A separate agreement may govern the provision, access, and use of the Services (“Agreement”), including the processing of any content or data that a User submits to the Services — such as website URLs, keywords, brand information, and generated articles (“Customer Data”). The Customer that entered into the Agreement controls its instance of the Services and any associated Customer Data.

2. Data Controller and Data Processor

Certain jurisdictions distinguish between a “controller” and a “processor” of personal data. In general, the Customer is the controller of Customer Data. Outserp is the processor of Customer Data and the controller of Other Information (described below).

3. Personal Data We Collect

Customer Data

Customers or Authorized Users submit Customer Data when using the Platform. This may include website URLs, keywords, brand names, content briefs, generated articles, and other SEO-related information.

Other Information

• Contact information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and job title when you register, contact us, or communicate with us.
• Account information: Email address, name, password (depending on sign-in method), profile picture, and account settings.
• Financial data: When you purchase Services, we collect transaction information including payment method details, amounts paid or refunded, dates, and services purchased. Payment card details are processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe) — we do not store sensitive payment information.
• Usage information: How you interact with the Platform — pages visited, features used, content generated, searches performed, and similar interaction data.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, language preferences, referring URLs, and server log data collected automatically when you access the Platform.
• Connected third-party data: If you connect third-party services (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics), we access data from those services solely to provide our Services. We process this data in-flight and retain only what is necessary to deliver the features you use.
• Cookie information: We use cookies and similar technologies on our Site and Platform. See Section 10 for details.

4. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing

Customer Data is processed in accordance with the Customer’s instructions and the Agreement. Outserp uses Other Information for the following purposes:

Performance of our contract with you

• To provide access to the Platform and enable content generation
• To create and manage your account
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To provide customer support and respond to help requests
• To protect the integrity and security of our Platform

Legitimate interests

• To analyse and develop technical improvements to the Platform — it is in our interest and the interest of Users to evaluate usage and inform development
• To improve our AI models and underlying technologies — it is in our interest to continuously improve the Platform for Users
• To send marketing communications — it is in our interest to keep you informed about the Platform and new Services
• To provide competitive intelligence and AI visibility tracking — we process publicly available web content and AI platform outputs, which may incidentally include names of individuals appearing in public content (e.g. published authors, company representatives). We apply minimisation controls and do not seek to collect personal data. You may object to this processing at any time by contacting us.

Compliance with a legal obligation

We process personal data to comply with legal obligations, including to access, preserve, or disclose certain data in response to valid legal requests.

Consent

Where required, we process personal data based on your consent — for example, for certain cookie usage or optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. AI-Generated Content and Data Processing

Outserp uses artificial intelligence to generate SEO content, analyse search visibility, and provide optimisation recommendations. In connection with these features:

• We may process your inputs (keywords, briefs, brand information) through AI models to generate content and insights.
• We may use aggregated, anonymised data and non-identifiable inputs and outputs to train, develop, and improve our AI models and related technology. Identifiable Customer Data will not be used for model training without explicit consent.
• AI-generated content is provided for your use and review. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content before publishing.
• We may monitor inputs and outputs for operational integrity, content moderation, and compliance purposes.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encryption of data at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure, and you acknowledge the inherent risks of internet-based services.

Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not targeted at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
